Tribal Integrated Waste Management Plan (IWMP) Development & Implementation Training, Catawba Indian Nation, Rock Hills, SC
Please consider attending the Indian Health Service’s Environmental Health Support Center’s Integrated Sustainable Solid Waste Management Operations Training based on needs and concerns of the Nashville Area Tribes (EPA Regions I, II, IV and VI). This training, sponsored by EPA and IHS, will be hosted by the Catawba Indian Nation of the South Carolina and is open to all IHS Nashville Area Federally recognized Tribes without EHSC course fee. Please forward to other potentially interested parties and solid waste contacts. (The training class has about 15 registered and is building to a dynamic cross-section of Tribal representatives.) The Hotel has a Shuttle Service for $25 each run for groups up to 10 people ($50 round trip), please call the hotel to arrange service. (In other words, Groups up to 10 may divide the shuttle cost by the number of people in the group to obtain a cost per person.)
The Shuttle to and from the Catawba Nation will be free of charge. There are a number of Restaurants within walking distance from the hotel.
Travel Reimbursement:
Travel Costs (airfare, mileage, shuttle, hotel, per diem and etc.) can be reimbursed with prior approval by USET or IHS. Class registration through IHS is required prior to seeking travel reimbursement through USET. Reimbursement available for all IHS Nashville Area Federally recognized Tribes.
