• 2007 Community Health Profile

  The 2007 Community Health Profile provides aggregate level health status data for the United South and Eastern member Tribes. The following focus areas were included in this report: socioeconomic, utilization, natality, mortality, ischemic heart disease, diabetes, cancer, obesity, immunizations, tobacco use, substance use and injury. RPMS was the primary data source, supplemented with publicly available data, including data from the census bureau and the national center for health statistics. • 2011 USET Healthcare Cost Analysis Report

  The USET Tribal Epidemiology Center initiated this project to estimate average costs of providing healthcare services at tribal healthcare facilities in the USET region. This project developed out of interest in identifying healthcare cost differences among health conditions or characteristics. The purpose of developing these estimates was to provide a mechanism for identifying differences in healthcare cost by health status or condition. Currently, USET tribal healthcare facilities provide medical services but do not produce a patient-bill that includes the cost of providing those services; therefore, there is no mechanism for determining the cost of providing health services per beneficiary or per visit. The USET Cost Analysis project and resulting report is an important step towards providing improved healthcare to Tribal nations through a better understanding of costs on the Tribal level. • 2011 Nashville Area Diabetes Report

  Every year an audit is completed by most of the Nashville Area facilities on the records of the persons on their diabetes patient registries. The results of the audit help describe the health status of patients with diabetes seen at participating facilities and how well standards of care are being met. The 2011 Nashville Area Diabetes Report provides 2010 diabetes prevalence figures for the Area, and health status of patients with diabetes and percentages of patients meeting the standard of diabetes care from 2005 through 2009. • 2009 Nashville Area Childhood Obesity Report

  The 2009 Childhood Obesity Report provides USET member Tribe aggregate level obesity prevalence data for AI/AN children. The report provides obesity prevalence figures for 2007 and 2004. The report also provides age and gender specific data. RPMS was the primary data source, supplemented with publicly available data for comparison purposes. • 2008 Nashville Area Diabetes Report

  Every year a diabetes audit is completed by most of the Nashville Area facilities. This audit provides aggregate data on the health status of patients with diabetes and how well standards of care are being met. The 2008 Nashville Area Diabetes Report provides diabetes prevalence figures for the Area, health status of patients with diabetes and percentages of patients meeting the standard of diabetes care. • 2007 Diabetes Audit Data Comparability Study

  Every year a diabetes audit is completed by most of the Nashville Area facilities. Each facility can choose whether they will complete a manual audit or an electronic audit. The 2007 Diabetes Audit Data Comparability Study evaluated the variability in data results given these two separate methods for diabetes audit data collection. This report summarizes the study methods and identifies which measures have a high level of variation and which measures have a low level of variation.
