The USET Tribal Health Program Support (THPS) contracts with the South and Eastern Federally-Recognized Tribes to provide:
Timely dissemination of health information to the Tribal Health Program Director
Administrative support services in coordinating and facilitating the meetings and other functions and activities of the Health Directors committee
A seminar/workshop specifically related to public health issues to the Health Directors and/or Tribal Leadership
Technical assistance in the development of new approaches in health care delivery with regard to the continuing development of the tribal health care delivery system
Assistance in the development of funding resource
Assistance to tribes in the assumption/expansion of the operation/management of programs, services, functions, and activities within the Indian Health Service
Prepare/maintain updated tribal health delivery system profiles for USET member tribes and facilitate meaningful consultation between agencies of the Department of Health and Human Services and tribes
Technical assistance to tribes in program development, management, evaluation, advocacy and training for new and expanded programs.
