This COVID Success Stories Community of Learning is an effort to respond to emerging issues Urban Indian Organizations (UIO) continue to encounter during the COVID-19 Pandemic. We hope to spotlight efforts to adapt and thrive despite many challenges faced by UIOs. These sessions will be informative, active, and designed to arm participants with vital resources to serve your communities. We will explore how UIOs can successfully use innovative approaches to address their need for quality care, workforce retention, and patient safety.

Throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, recommendations and guidance from CDC have changed based on new data from a variety of qualitative and quantitative sources. During the webinar, CDC experts will discuss the science to keep people safe during public health emergencies, including COVID-19. You’ll hear more about how CDC evaluates data to give updated recommendations, the sources of the data, and how health equity fits into the framework of an emergency response. You’ll also learn more about where we are in the COVID-19 pandemic, including COVID-19 Community Levels. Join CDC for a webinar on Wednesday, April 27, at 2 p.m. ET.

CDC encourages everyone who uses data to make recommendations in emergency communications to attend. This includes community leaders, public health workers, and emergency responders. Closed captioning, an ASL interpreter, and live Spanish interpretation will be available.
