The primary purpose of the USET Development Department is to organize and manage strategic planning efforts, fundraising, public relations, grant administration and create resources for the organization to improve its efficiency and effectiveness. The Development Department was created in 2012 with this vision in mind. This department currently works with USET’s other departments to update short and long term strategic plans, seek grant funds (federal, corporate, private foundations, and charities), and to create new resources to enhance organizational operations and services to member Tribal Nations. USET public relations (social media, press releases, and the annual report) are handled by Brandon Stephens, USET’s Development Director.
USET and Professional Performance360 Magazine have established a partnership to feature articles spotlighting leaders from USET member Tribal Nations. Performance360 is a magazine which features first person advice from national and global business, government, and social leadership. They provide insight to their formulas for success and how to address challenges. This is another great venue to demonstrate the capable and high functioning leadership that works to manage and guide USET.
