American Indians Accessing Health Professions Conference

August 13, 2021 - August 14, 2021

The American Indians Accessing Health Professions Program (AIAHPP) is designed to give American Indian, Alaska Native and Indigenous students from undergraduate, community and tribal colleges exposure to different careers in the health professions, as well as the tools and mentors to help them get there. This conference is designed for AI/AN/Indigenous students who are interested in a health career, but may still be in the beginning stages of career exploration. We will provide information in the form of workshops, presentations and expert panels about careers in:

Friday, August 13th

  • ” Inspirational Speaker “Day in the Life”Plenary by Dr. Daniel Calac
  • Breakout sessions led by health professionals in the field: Medicine, Nursing, PA, Dental, Physical Therapy and “Impactful Advocacy: Using Your Story to Effect Change”
  • How to Get Mentors and Build Relationships for the Journey

Saturday, August 14th
