DESCRIPTION:Dear Tribal Leader Letter \nRegistration link \nJune 17 & 21 at 1:00 pm Eastern\nJoin link \nJuly 8 at 1:00 pm Eastern\nJoin link \nThe APHIS Plant Pest and Disease Management and Disaster Prevention Program provides funding to help safeguard against\, detect\, and respond to invasive plant pests and diseases. APHIS worked with other governmental and non-governmental stakeholders\, industry organizations\, the National Plant Board\, State departments of agriculture\, and Tribal organizations to develop the FY25 Implementation Plan. \nThe FY25 plan outlines six strategic goal areas for funding projects: \n\nEnhancing plant pest/disease analysis and survey;\nTargeting domestic inspection activities at vulnerable points in the safeguarding continuum;\nEnhancing and strengthening pest identification and technology;\nSafeguarding nursery production;\nConducting targeted outreach and education; and\nEnhancing mitigation and rapid response capabilities.\n\nIf you have questions about the webinar\, please contact ONTL Program Analyst Denise Salvetti at denise.salvetti@usda.gov.
