Native American Thanksgiving

November 19, 2022 @ 10:00 am CST

The Mashpee Wampanoag Tribe have invited Tribal citizens, along with family and friends from the community, to attend the 13th Annual Native American Thanks Giving on Saturday, November 19.

The annual event will open at 11 AM at the Old Indian Meeting House on Meetinghouse Road with an opening ceremony and prayer.

According to a press release from the Tribal Nation, following the ceremony and prayer, there will be a Native American Thanks Giving feast at the Mashpee Wampanoag Tribe Community and Government Center.

Potluck dishes are welcome and may be dropped off at the building before the opening ceremony, the release says.

The event is coordinated annually by the Old Indian Meeting House Committee to bring the community together and to provide a much-needed pause from their daily routine to reflect on all we have to be thankful for. The celebration is open to anyone and everyone that would like to share, the release says.

Tribal citizens are asked to wear their traditional regalia.
