Treasury has released its guidance for the State Small Business Credit Initiative (SSBCI) Program.
Tribal governments have a $500 million set aside. The guidance provides, in relevant part, that:
- Tribes may apply jointly for SSBCI.
- Tribal enterprises may be lenders or investors in SSBCI programs
- Tribal enterprise revenue may satisfy private credit matching requirements.
A notice of intent and application initiation is due by Dec. 11, 2021. Application completion is due on Feb. 11, 2021.
