What: “Third Tuesday’s” Tribal-DHS Coordination and Collaboration Calls
When: Third Tuesday of every month. 2:00 ET., 1:00 CT., 12:00 MT., 11:00 PT., 10:00 AK. No scheduled calls in November or December.
Why: This is an opportunity to provide input and seek assistance from DHS tribal affairs practitioners, and to coordinate homeland security efforts. Significant components and offices in DHS on efforts to support tribes in their homeland security efforts.
DHS executes its homeland security responsibilities through the efforts of the U.S. Coast Guard (USCG), Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA), U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS), U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP), the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), Transportation Security Administration (TSA), and the U.S. Secret Service (USSS). These components are supported by offices like the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center (FLETC), Office of Civil Rights and Civil Liberties (CRCL), the Science and Technology Directorate (S&T), Intelligence and Analysis (I&A), and the Office of Partnership and Engagement (OPE).
This is not formal consultation, but an ongoing collaboration effort supporting the implementation of E.O. 13175, Consultation and Coordination with Indian Tribal Governments and not intended for media. Please contact me if you have media inquires.
