DESCRIPTION:Dear Tribal Leader: \n\n\n\nWe are pleased to invite you to a government-to-government consultation with the U.S. Department of Justice on how records related to the Federal Firearm Rights Restoration Program will be managed. A framing paper providing additional background information and outlining issues for discussion accompanies this letter. \n\n\n\nPlease note that this consultation will be closed to the press. Please register by August 7 if you or your designated representative(s) plan to attend either or both of the sessions listed below. \n\n\n\n\nAugust 10\, 2026\, 3-5pm Eastern\n\n\n\nAugust 11\, 2026\, 3-5pm Eastern\n\n\n\n\nWe also strongly encourage your written comments\, which will be accepted until August 28\, 2026.
