SUMMARY:Strengthening AMBER Alert Responses in Indian Country: Implementation and a Survivor's Perspective
DESCRIPTION:The Ashlynne Mike AMBER Alert in Indian Country Act of 2018 was enacted to address gaps in emergency alerting systems that previously limited tribal participation in AMBER Alert activations. This presentation will explore how the AMBER Alert Training and Technical Assistance Program\, through the AMBER Alert in Indian Country (AIIC) program which is assists tribal communities in strengthening their emergency response capabilities for cases involving missing or abducted children. This presentation will also highlight a survivor’s perspective from Ashlynne Mike’s mother\, Pamela Foster. \n\n\n\nThis training is available to all interested parties. There is no charge to attend this training\, and CLE will not be available. \n\n\n\nThis training is a joint effort hosted by federal law enforcement agencies responding to violent crime in Indian Country.
