SUMMARY:Tribal Consultations on the Implementation of the “Supporting America’s Children and Families Act”
DESCRIPTION:Dear Tribal Leader: \nThe Administration on Children\, Youth and Families (ACYF) and the Children’s Bureau (CB) within the Administration for Children and Families (ACF) recognize the central role that Tribal Nations play in the care and protection of children and families. To advance our collaborative efforts to that end\, we extend an invitation to participate in formal tribal consultation on the “Supporting America’s Children and Families Act\,” (Public Law 118-258)\, which reauthorized Title IV-B of the Social Security Act (Act). \nConsultation will focus on the changes to title IV-B of the Act\, listed in detail in attached documents\, and how they may impact Tribes. In summary\, the focus areas are the Indian Child Welfare Act\, title IV-B funding for child welfare agencies\, the Court Improvement Program and remote hearings\, and the Prevention Services Clearinghouse. \nWe are soliciting your input as we value your perspectives and experiences\, which are crucial as we work together to implement the Act. SUMMARY:Tribal Engagement on the Proposed Rule Updated Definition of "Waters of the United States" with EPA and Army
DESCRIPTION:This meeting is for U.S. EPA and the U.S. Department of the Army to gather Tribal input on the proposed rule that would clarify the definition of “waters of the United States” and fully implement the SCOTUS decision in Sackett.  Participants may register below to attend the meeting and indicate if they would like to speak. Note that this meeting is reserved for Tribes\, Tribal members\, and their respective associations. Registration ends on December 18\, 2025 at 4:00 pm ET. For questions or to arrange accommodations\, email wotus-outreach@epa.gov. Accommodations will be provided if received no later than Dec. 11\, 2025. This meeting will not be recorded.
