DESCRIPTION:Dear Tribal Leader Letter \nFact Sheet \nNovember 18\, 19\, and 20 at 1:00 pm Eastern\nYou may register for one or more of the Tribal consultations here. \nThe U.S. Department of the Treasury (Treasury) and the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) have issued a Notice of Proposed Rulemaking (NPRM) to implement section 139E of the Internal Revenue Code\, created by the Tribal General Welfare Exclusion Act of 2014 (Act).  Additionally\, Treasury announced it will hold Tribal consultations on the proposed rule on November 18\, 19\, and 20\, 2024\, at 1 p.m. ET. \nThese rules incorporate a historic level of pre-Tribal consultation and Treasury Tribal Advisory Committee feedback and support Tribal self-determination and self-governance in the implementation of the Act. To learn more about the proposed rule\, please see Treasury’s Press Release\, the Tribal Consultation and Federal Feedback Summary\, Dear Tribal Leader Letter\, and the Fact Sheet. \nTreasury is accepting written comments received by December 17\, 2024\, 11:59 p.m. Alaska Time. DESCRIPTION:November 22 at 1:00 pm – 2:30 pm Eastern\nRegister  \nThe U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) invites Tribal leaders\, Tribal Epidemiology Centers (TECs)\, and Tribal health data professionals to a focused listening session on Tribe-specific data disclosures as they relate to the draft HHS Tribal Data Access Policy and draft HHS Tribal Epidemiology Center Data Access Policy. \nRecently\, the Department completed Tribal Consultation on its updated Tribal Data Access Policy and Tribal Epidemiology Center Data Access Policy. Tribal leaders had the opportunity to contribute feedback and recommendations on the updated draft policies during the virtual consultation and the written comment period.
