DESCRIPTION:The Foundations of Tribal Child Welfare Casework Practice training is geared toward tribal and First Nations child welfare workers who want to gain insight and increase their skills on the basics of tribal child welfare. The training is geared toward front line workers and newer supervisors in carrying out the day-to-day duties of tribal child welfare. Topics covered include: engaging and assessing families using the relational world-view model\, best practices for court preparation including writing reports and providing testimony\, children and family engagement\, utilizing supervision for success in serving families\, and basic case management unique to tribal workers.

DESCRIPTION:Native Psychological Brilliance refers to the innate intelligence\, strengths\, balance\, resources\, and resilience of Native people. \n\n\n\nWhen: The fourth Tuesday of every month at 1:00 pm – 2:00 pm Central/2:00 pm – 3:00 pm Eastern \n\n\n\nWho should attend: Tribal Nation health directors\, clinic staff\, counselors\, social workers\, physicians\, nurses\, Tribal Epidemiology Center staff\, and anyone supporting Tribal Nation citizens through the health/behavioral health sector are welcome to join. \n\n\n\nLearning objectives  \n\n\n\n\nIncrease knowledge of innate intelligence of Native people and relationship to treatment and lifelong recovery \n\n\n\nDeepen understanding of cultural practices as teaching tools for healthy behavior and how traditional practices influence behavior change \n\n\n\nGain knowledge of two examples of traditional behavioral health programs \n\n\n\nLearn example of how to translate a traditional practice into a potential billable clinical service\n\n\n\n\nCME/CE Program accreditation for physicians\, physician assistants\, and nurse practitioners\, nurses\, counselors and social workers \n\n\n\nRegistration is open! \n\n\n\nQuestions?
