SUMMARY:CANCELED: 2024 USET/USET SPF Annual Meeting
DESCRIPTION:UPDATE (10/05/2024): \nAs part of the planning for the 2024 USET & USET SPF Annual Meeting\, we have been monitoring Hurricane Kirk and Hurricane Milton. \nWhile Hurricane Kirk appears to no longer hold any potential for concern\, the most recent weather prediction has Hurricane Milton coming on shore as a category 2 by the latter part of our meeting. With any storm\, it could weaken or intensify\, but it is only a best guess forecast at this time. \nHowever\, throughout the day today\, we have been notified by several of our members and attendees that they are pulling the plug on sending staff out of concern for the safety of their staff should the storm materialize or worsen. \nBased on the possibility of Hurricane Milton becoming a storm of concern\, the desire to take related precautionary and preventive measures\, and the attendance cancellation notices that we have already received\, we have made the difficult decision to cancel the 2024 USET and USET SPF Annual Board of Directors Meeting. \nWhile we are still working through the logistical details of this cancellation\, including the likelihood of a single day virtual Board meeting\, we will follow up with further information regarding registration and other related matters. We wanted to communicate this decision as promptly as possible to assist you in adjusting your travel plans to Seminole. \nThank you for your understanding. \nFor those that may have registered for the USET Scholarship Fund golf tournament\, and have already arrived\, you should have already received communication that the golf tournament will be held tomorrow as scheduled. The cancellation of the USET/ USET SPF Annual meeting does not affect this decision. Please enjoy your outing. \nEvery individual is responsible for canceling their hotel reservations to keep from incurring any fees.\n(866) 502-7529 \n  \n \n  \n\n2024 USET/USET SPF Board of Directors Annual Meeting\nOn the sovereign territory of the Seminole Tribe of Florida\nOctober 7-9\, 2024\nHosted by the Seminole Tribe of Florida\n \nREMINDER: Dissimilar to many other Tribal/Native organizational meetings and conferences held across Indian Country\, the USET/USET SPF Impact Week and Annual Meetings are Board of Directors meeting convenings and not open for general public registration.
