SUMMARY:Tribal Public Health Preparedness and Resilience Task Force Meeting
DESCRIPTION:The USET Tribal Public Health Preparedness and Resilience Task Force (Tribal PHPR) is a Tribally centered epidemiological approach to public health preparedness and resilience. Its primary goal is to strengthen the resilience of Tribal Nations in the USET region through strategies focused on mitigation\, prevention\, and preparation in the disaster management cycle.  \n\n\n\nThe Task Force also builds relationships between Tribal Nations and the USET Epidemiology Team\, creating a space to share best practices\, discuss public health strategies\, and collaborate on preparedness efforts. \n\n\n\nWhen: The first Tuesday of each month at 12:00 pm – 1:00 pm Central/1:00 pm – 2:00 pm EasternMeetings will last 30-60 minutes\, depending on the topic. SUMMARY:From Fire to Food: Tribal Climate Adaptation and Indigenous Food Sovereignty
DESCRIPTION:Tribal Nations across the United States are leading innovative\, place-based approaches to climate adaptation that center Indigenous knowledge\, cultural practices\, and community health. This webinar looks at how managing wildfires\, especially through cultural burning and climate-smart forestry\, is being combined with Indigenous food sovereignty initiatives to strengthen resilience\, protect ecosystems\, and support community well-being. Drawing on real-world examples from Tribal Nations\, Bill Tripp and Joe Hostler will examine how fire stewardship\, land management\, and food systems are interconnected and how these strategies contribute to emergency preparedness and long-term sustainability. The session will highlight practical lessons and opportunities for cross-sector or agency collaboration in climate adaptation and public health.

DESCRIPTION:Indian Land Tenure Foundation is pleased to present the first Native Land Conference March 24-25\, 2026\, at Mystic Lake Conference Center in Minnesota. \n\n\n\nThe Native Land Conference will bring together Tribal leaders\, land office staff\, tribal landowners\, Native advocates\, educators\, and allies from across Indian Country. Together\, we’ll engage in meaningful dialogue and collaborative learning\, rooted in ILTF’s mission to support American Indian Nations in reclaiming and controlling their rightful homelands through four primary strategies: Education\, Cultural Awareness\, Economic Opportunity\, and Legal Reform. \n\n\n\nAttendance for this networking event will be limited to 150 participants.
