SUMMARY:Whole Health: Strategies to Manage Co-Occurring Mental Health Disorders
DESCRIPTION:Join us for an engaging session with the Tunica-Biloxi Tribe of Louisiana as they explore how substance use and mental health recovery can be supported through multi-disciplinary coordination. This session will share strategies to manage co-occurring mental health disorders in rural and tribal settings that often require coordination across departments\, nuanced prescription management\, and a team-first approach. \n\n\n\nWhen: August 26 at 11:30 am – 12:30 pm Central/12:30 pm – 1:30 pm Eastern \n\n\n\nWho should attend: Public health officials\, counselors\, psychiatrists\, social workers\, clinicians\, service providers\, clinical administration staff\, Tribal leaders\, and others with interest. \n\n\n\nLearning objectives: Participants will gain an understanding of:  \n\n\n\n\nHow to manage co-occurring mental health disorders in a rural\, tribal setting. \n\n\n\nTeam focused\, multi-disciplinary integration strategies from prevention to after care as well as how to address stigma and other influences. \n\n\n\nCulturally appropriate integration of care. \n\n\n\nCo-occurring issues that are prevalent and the successes and challenges experienced in administering care. \n\n\n\nAdvantages and barriers to integrated care.\n\n\n\n\nRegistration is open! \n\n\n\nQuestions?
