DESCRIPTION:We invite you and your staff to participate in the new Infectious Disease ECHO. This ECHO is merged the previous COVID-19 and Hepatitis C ECHOs and will focus on a different topic every month. Additionally\, clinical cases are encouraged to be submitted to gain insight into healthcare recommendations from other medical providers working in the field.  This no-cost telehealth series will be held throughout 2023 on the second Friday of every month at 11:00 am Central/12:00 pm Eastern. \nThis month’s session will be highlighting the National Health Observance Awareness “National Asthma and Allergy Awareness Month” with a discussion on Viral Respiratory Tract Infections leading to acute bronchiolitis\, pneumonia\, and other infections. \nEach session will be one hour in length that will provide an opportunity for participants to: \n\nLearn about emerging infectious diseases\nGain skills on treating different infectious diseases\nContinue to stay up to date on COVID-19\n\nWho should attend? Tribal Nation health directors\, clinic staff\, physicians\, nurses\, Tribal Epidemiology Center staff\, and anyone supporting Tribal Nation citizens through the health sector are welcome to join. \nRegistration: Register in advance for the session. DESCRIPTION:January 17 and 18 at 1:00 pm – 3:30 pm each day\nRegister \nThe Office for Victims of Crime (OVC) will host a virtual Tribal Consultation on the Tribal Set-Aside from the Crime Victims Fund for Fiscal Year 2024 on Wednesday\, January 17\, 2024\, and Thursday\, January 18\, 2024\, from 1:00−3:30 p.m. eastern time each day. \nOVC invites Consultation testimony to be provided by: \n\nan elected Tribal leader\,\nan appointed Tribal leader\, or\nsomeone designated by an elected or appointed Tribal leader. Designation must be provided in writing.\n\nIn preparation\, OVC presents the OVC FY 2023 Crime Victims Fund Tribal Set-Aside Program report that provides a brief history of the program and how Tribal Set-Aside funds were obligated in FY 2023. An informational Framing Paper on the FY 2024 Tribal Set-Aside provides relevant background and questions for participants at the consultation to consider. \nIf you are a Tribal leader’s designee and you plan to speak at either day of the Consultation\, OVC asks that you provide a Delegation of Authority letter on Tribal letterhead signed by the elected or appointed Tribal leader or have the elected or appointed Tribal leader send an email to ovctribalsetaside@usdoj.gov to confirm your authorization to testify on behalf of the Tribe. Instructions for how to submit your testimony will be available after you register. During the Consultation\, Tribal leaders will be called in the order in which their registration was received.

DESCRIPTION:United South and Eastern Tribes\, Inc. would like to announce the 2023 Reclaiming Native Psychological Brilliance: Wise Practices\, a Tribal Behavioral Health ECHO Clinic. Native Psychological Brilliance refers to the intelligence\, strengths\, balance\, innate resources\, and resilience of Native people. This no-cost telehealth series will be held on the fourth Tuesday of every month at 1:00 pm Central/2:00 pm Eastern. Each session will be one hour in length. \nWho should attend? Tribal Nation health directors\, clinic staff\, counselors\, social workers\, physicians\, nurses\, Tribal Epidemiology Center staff\, and anyone supporting Tribal Nation citizens through the health/behavioral health sector are welcome to join. \nThe one-hour Reclaiming Native Psychological Brilliance virtual series will provide an opportunity for participants to: \n\nGain skills on strength-based approaches in partnership with Native People to enhance Native behavioral health\,\nDiscuss ways that Native brilliance is demonstrated and supports behavioral health\, and\nLearn about Native brilliance examples to share with behavioral health and other health care staff\, as well as with local Tribal Nation citizens.\n\nThe concept of Native psychological brilliance will be celebrated through Native music videos and Native spoken word performances as part of each session of the Reclaiming Native Psychological Brilliance series. \nContinuing education credits will be provided. \nRegister in advance for the session. \nFor questions\, please contact Bryan Hendrix\, USET THPS Quality Improvement Analyst\, at bhendrix@usetinc.org.

DESCRIPTION:The Department of Homeland Security (Department or DHS) invites comment and feedback from Tribal Nations and indigenous peoples on barriers and challenges\, suggestions\, and ideas to help advance the Department’s environmental justice program\, help DHS conduct meaningful engagement of the public in decision making\, and address challenges facing environmental justice communities related to DHS programs and activities.  On December 18\, 2023\, DHS issued a Request for Information (RFI) Federal Register :: Request for Information Regarding Department of Homeland Security Activities and Advancing Environmental Justice\, Docket ID: DHS-2023-0048\, asking specific questions.
