The goal is to synthesize all the elements of learning for an effective strategic emergency response that aligns with the goals of NAHASDA. All sessions will be facilitated by experienced emergency management professionals who bring practical insights and guide participants through understanding and applying core concepts to real-world situations within Native American housing communities. \nThis training integrates foundational knowledge of NAHASDA\, public safety\, law enforcement\, fire rescue\, and emergency management principles within the context of Native American housing communities. Participants will actively engage with interactive sessions\, workshops\, and discussions throughout the week\, building towards the tabletop exercise that will put their acquired skills into practice. The aim is to equip attendees with the skills necessary to promote both public safety and the enduring principles of self-determination for these communities. This no-cost telehealth series will be held on the fourth Tuesday of every month at 1:00 pm Central/2:00 pm Eastern. Each session will be one hour in length. \nWho should attend? DESCRIPTION:As a part of the TECPHI Opioid Supplement approach to improving public health planning and infrastructure\, the USET Office of Tribal Public Health (OTPH) is offering a Patient-Centered Medical Home Model training to USET member Tribal Nations\, USET staff\, and NAO IHS staff. Patient-Centered Medical Home (PCMH) model is an emerging healthcare model. According to the CDC\, the patient-centered medical home (PCMH) model is an approach to delivering high quality\, cost-effective primary care. Using a patient-centered\, culturally appropriate\, and team-based approach\, the PCMH model coordinates patient care across the health system. DESCRIPTION:December 4 at 1:00 pm – 2:30 pm Eastern\nRegister \nThe CDC Division of Reproductive Health’s Enhancing Reviews and Surveillance to Eliminate Maternal Mortality (www.cdc.gov/ERASEMM) program supports maternal mortality review committees (MMRCs) to identify and review deaths during and within a year of pregnancy\, including documenting prevention opportunities. CDC works with MMRCs to improve review processes that inform recommendations for preventing future deaths. \nExisting reviews include deaths during and within a year of pregnancy among American Indian and Alaska Native persons. However\, there are no Tribal MMRCs. Tribal MMRCs could adapt MMRC processes to reflect community priorities and culturally appropriate approaches to maternal mortality prevention; have direct access to their data and determine the use of their data; and provide recommendations relevant to the community made by a tribally appointed committee to prevent pregnancy-related mortality. \nThe CDC would like to learn about Tribally led maternal health improvement work from Tribal leaders\, Tribal citizens\, Urban Indian Organizations\, Tribal health care providers\, Tribal serving organizations\, and others working in Tribal maternal health\, to inform a sustainable funding initiative for Tribal Nations and Tribal serving organizations. \nYour feedback is valuable and they are interested in learning about: \n\nYour experiences with promoting maternal health in the communities where you live and/or serve and opportunities you see for improvement.\nInformation and data about maternal health that you currently use and important gaps.\nConsiderations for conducting a review of deaths during or within one year of pregnancy in Tribal communities.

SAMHSA will also align the policy with the reorganization of the agency under the 21st Century Cures Act and the updated HHS Tribal Consultation Policy. \nWritten comments are welcome through January 6 and may be submitted to otap@samhsa.hhs.gov.
