DESCRIPTION:This webinar presentation will provide an overview of the FBI CAST (Cellular Analysis Survey Team) program. An FBI Special Agent will cover how cellular phones interact with cell towers and all three major cellular phone service providers. The presenter will also address the process for requesting CAST assistance in an emergency case concerning a missing person or fugitive as well as assistance with obtaining and mapping phone records for a case. Several case examples and scenarios will be presented to illustrate investigation techniques and how to incorporate cell phone records in investigations. \n\n\n\nThis training is restricted to federal\, state\, and Tribal prosecutors\, law enforcement and intelligence analysts employed by a law enforcement agency. DESCRIPTION:Dear Tribal Leader\, \n\n\n\nWith the recent signing of Secretarial Order (SO) 3443\, “Elevating and Unifying the Department of the Interior’s (DOI) Wild/and Fire Management Program\,” and Executive Order (EO) 14308\, ”Empowering Commonsense Wildfire Prevention and Response\,” the Department of the Interior is taking significant steps to streamline and strengthen its wildfire management capabilities. These initiatives aim to improve the Department’s effectiveness in wildland fire response\, while also promoting locally informed\, technology-enabled strategies for land management and wildfire mitigation. \n\n\n\nAs the Department plans for the most efficient and effective use of wildland fire offices\,coordinating bodies\, programs\, budgets\, procurement processes\, and research\, and\, as necessary\,recommends additional measures specific to servicing Tribes\, it is critical to obtain the Tribalperspectives. \n\n\n\nThe Department will conduct two (2) in-person and two (2) virtual Tribal consultation sessionsto accept oral and written comments.
