CHEROKEE, N.C. – The National Museum of the American Indian along with two Cherokee nations will host Cherokee Days Thursday, April 3, through Saturday, April 5 in Washington, D.C. Principal Chief Michell Hicks will represent the Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians and Principal Chief Bill John Baker, the Cherokee Nation.
Cherokee Days is a free festival of storytelling, films, dance, family activities and cultural activities at the museum. A full schedule of festival events can be found at http://nmai.si.edu/sites/1/files/pdf/events/Cherokee_days.pdf.
