Director of the Tribal Support Unit

 

The Office for State, Tribal, Local and Territorial Support (OSTLTS) of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) is currently seeking exceptional candidates for the position of Director of the Tribal Support Unit.

OSTLTS serves as the primary link among CDC, the Agency for Toxic Substances and Disease Registry, and tribal governments.  OSTLTS is responsible for coordinating CDC programs and policies that focus on American Indian/Alaska Native (AI/AN) communities.

The Director of the Tribal Support Unit position requires knowledge of the unique cultural, environmental, social, economic, political, and other interrelated factors that impact the health of AI/AN populations. The position is for a public health advisor (GS-15) or medical officer (GS-15).
