Program Director: Tribal Health Care Reform Marketplace
The National Indian Health Board is pleased to announce three career opportunities at its headquarters in Washington, DC.
The Program Director for the National Indian Health Board’s (NIHB) Tribal Health Care Reform Marketplace project will join NIHB’s growing team of policy, outreach, education and support professionals providing health care reform outreach and education to the Nation’s 566 Federally Recognized Tribes. The Program Director will provide comprehensive technical advice and assistance to Tribal Leaders, Tribal Health Directors and consumers of Tribal health care about Centers of Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) related activities, grants and contracts. The Program Director will serve as the NIHB lead for national research on the efficacy of Tribal outreach, education and health care reform Marketplace enrollment efforts among the Tribes by determining level of knowledge about the Affordable Care Act health insurance Marketplaces, provide gap analysis on these efforts and recommend and assist with implementing performance improvement strategies. The Program Director also will prepare written regulation review/reports and analysis for distribution nationally. The incumbent will provide Affordable Care Act-related policy and regulatory analysis to national Tribal advisory and technical committees. The incumbent will provide meeting/group facilitation, assist in agenda development, create and track follow up work. Strong public speaking skills are essential and the Program Director also must be proficient at grants and project management, budgeting, program design and development, and staff performance review and evaluation.
