Vax-A-Nation Vaccine Campaign

USET Vax-A-Nation Vaccine Campaign

The USET TEC understands that hesitancy to receive the COVID-19 vaccine is a serious threat to our member Tribal Nations’ ability to protect their communities from COVID-19. Misinformation on the COVID-19 vaccines is largely contributing to this hesitancy, and we hope to address this through clear messaging. To achieve this goal, we have partnered with Rescue Agency to produce a toolkit of materials that explains the dangers of COVID-19 and encourages COVID-19 vaccination among Tribal citizens.

About the Toolkit

The toolkit includes materials addressing several campaign areas:

  1. How COVID-19 is a particular threat to American Indians and Alaska Natives, and the vaccine is an effective prevention tool (jump to these tools)
  2. How the vaccine is safe, effective and much less dangerous than getting COVID (jump to these tools)
  3. How the choice to get vaccinated is the responsible decision in order to uphold the duty to protect community. (jump to these tools)
  4. While the long-term health consequences of COVID-19 are not yet known, vaccinations provide protection from the worst effects of the virus (jump to these tools)

Each area contains a variety of materials, including flyers, posters and social media postings. Social media graphics below include suggested text to accompany posts, although this can be edited as needed. Dimensions are included for printed content (i.e., flyers) and digital banners.

There are also some materials promoting vaccines as a way to keep the community healthy and safe from preventable diseases like tetanus and measles (jump to these tools).

All materials are freely available, with some limitations:

  • Printed materials can be customized (added logos, etc.) upon request for member Tribal Nations.
  • Original electronic files for printed materials are also available upon request for member Tribal Nations.

If you have any questions about suggested use or access to the materials, please contact us at usetepi@usetinc.org.
