Dear Tribal Leader:

The Office of the Assistant Secretary – Indian Affairs (AS-IA), through the Office of Facilities, Property, and Safety Management (OFPSM) and the Division of Facility Management and Construction (DFMC), will be conducting two virtual Tribal Informational Sessions to share the outcomes of Tribal Listening Sessions that were held on March 5 and 7, 2024, and Tribal Consultation Sessions that were held on August 27 and 29, 2024, regarding the calculation of Facilities Operations and Maintenance (O&M) funding.

During these Information Sessions, DFMC will present the O&M Formula that will be applied to calculate annual O&M funding needs and allocations utilizing data readily available in the Indian Affairs Facility Management System (IA-FMS), currently known as Maximo. This funding formula will be applied in Fiscal Year 2026 and beyond.
