73rd Chickahominy Fall Festival & Pow-Wow

August 6, 2025 – Charles City, VA – The Chickahominy Indian Tribe will join Native American friends and visitors from all over the country when they gather on the Chickahominy Tribal Grounds at 8200 Lott Cary Road, Providence Forge, Virginia 23140; September 27 & 28, 2025 for their 73rd Fall Festival and Pow-Wow. On this historic occasion, visitors will have an opportunity to experience Eastern Woodlands’ Indian culture with one of the Tribes that were here to make first contact with the settlers in 1607. Don’t miss this oportunity to join the Chickahominy people for a celebration of history and culture.

Grounds will open at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday and 11:00 a.m. on Sunday, with the Saturday, September 27th Grand Entry at 12:00 noon and Sunday, September 28th Grand Entry at 1:00 p.m. The festival/Pow-Wow will feature Native American dancers, drummers, singers and cultural demonstrations. United States Armed Forces Veterans will be honored each day.

Keith Colston, Tuscarora/Lumbee, will serve as Master of Ceremonies. Host Drum is Lone Eagle Singers, from Charles City, Virginia. Chris Fortune, Rappahannock, will be the Arena Director. Keenan Stewart, Chickahominy, will be the Head Male Dancer. Morgan Richardson, Chickahominy, will be the Head Female Dancer. VEVITA Honor Color Guard, Washington, D.C., will be the Color Guard. The attending public will enjoy several cultural and traditional exhibits including historic displays and information from the Chickahominy Indian Tribe. Native American crafters from all over the United States will have jewelry, pottery, beadwork, leather crafts, and other authentic arts and crafts for sale. Food will be available and will feature Indian Tacos, barbeque, hamburgers, hot dogs, and fried fish, as well as plenty of beverages, ice cream, and desserts.

The festival is open to the public. Admission is free, donations will be accepted at the gate. Cash required for food and drink purchases. Plenty of free parking is available with golf cart transportation provided for disabled and senior citizens. Organizers suggest bringing lawn chairs or blankets. Personal canopies are prohibited. Pow-Wow etiquette will be followed. For health and safety reasons, no alcohol, drugs, nor pets are permitted on the Pow-Wow grounds.
