The Renewable Energy Scholarship Foundation awards scholarships to students with ties to the Pacific Northwest who are committed to renewable energy. Since 2016 we have supported over 130 students who demonstrated success in their academic pursuits in any aspect of renewable energy, from the sciences as well as relevant pursuits in complementary fields like public policy, law, economics, sociology, etc.
RESF expects to award eighteen or more scholarships in 2026 based upon academic merit, accomplishments in the field, and demonstrated interest. Students should not apply for any specific award or amount. Instead, describe your qualifications in the application, and the selection committee will determine the amount of your scholarship based on merit.
- Scholarships will be a cash award of $3000, $5000, or $7000 with no strings attached.
- Scholarships are reserved for the following areas of allocation:
- at least one for a community college student (or early undergraduate student)
- at least one for an undergraduate student
- at least one for an early graduate student (first two years)
- at least two for students promoting diversity
- at least two for Native American and Alaskan Native students
- The remaining scholarships have no restrictions.
