Webinar on the Uniform Law Commission’s Model State ICWA Law

The National Indian Child Welfare Association and Native American Rights Fund are co-hosting a 60-minute webinar on the Uniform Law Commission (ULC) effort to develop a model state Indian Child Welfare Act (ICWA) that can be used by Tribal Nations to improve or establish a state ICWA law in their state. The webinar will feature guest speakers that have been involved in the ULC effort to discuss the background of why this effort was undertaken, who is participating in the initiative, what is the ULC process for developing a model state law, and how Tribal Nations might use a model state ICWA law.
This webinar is open to Tribal Nations and their representatives, Tribal organizations, and urban Native organizations.
