The U.S. Census Bureau’s Office of Congressional and Intergovernmental Affairs (OCIA) Tribal Team is offering a series of virtual information sessions tailored for tribal communities. These sessions are designed to strengthen communication and provide timely updates to tribal governments, American Indian and Alaska Native (AIAN) stakeholders, and users of Census data. The Census Bureau remains dedicated to ongoing dialogue and information sharing with tribal entities, ensuring transparency and fostering trust among all participating groups.  During these sessions, attendees will learn about recent data releases and current projects at the Census Bureau that specifically affect tribal communities and stakeholders.

This session will highlight the 2030 Geography Programs and their direct value to AIAN communities, including updates on the Local Update of Census Addresses (LUCA), Participant Statistical Areas Program (PSAP), Boundary and Annexation Survey (BAS), and other key geographic operations. Participants will also receive an overview of Geography Division tools such as the Housing Unit Change Viewer, Address Count Listing files, TIGER/Line geospatial products, and other resources to support planning for the 2030 Census. These programs and tools can help tribal nations prepare for upcoming data needs and strengthen their long-term geographic readiness.
