The U.S. Forest Service is pleased to announce the Landscape Scale Restoration (LSR) Program request for proposals is now open for federal fiscal year 2024.

  • Southern Region/International Institute of Tropical Forestry (IITF) Request for Proposals: Projects must take place in one or more of the following states or territories: Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina, Oklahoma, Puerto Rico, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Virgin Islands of the United States, and Virginia. Applications are due December 15.
  • National Request for Proposals: This opportunity is for federally recognized Tribes and Alaska Native Corporations/Villages. Applications are due December 15. There is not a required pre-proposal for the Tribal Nation LSR RFP. However, you can submit your proposal for an optional review by emailing paul.gellerstedt@usda.gov your completed application. Paul will share feedback with you.

LSR is intended to maximize flexibility with State and Private Forestry authorities and provide federal funds that “encourage collaborative, science-based restoration of priority forest landscapes”. For clarification or questions concerning the proposal process, please email SM.FS.LSR_South@usda.gov.
