A variety of internships and programs happening Summer 2024 and the following academic year are now open to applications. Depending on the program, scholars from high school to graduate students and young adults will be paid to develop their skills in environmental policy, land care, communications, leadership, and more, while contributing their unique skills and viewpoints to important issues. Some are open to all students, some are intended especially for Indigenous students, and some are open exclusively to citizens of federally-recognized Tribal Nations or students of particular colleges and universities.

Open now (see Student Opportunities page for deadlines and details): ITEP 2024 Environmental Internships, Native Youth Climate Adaptation Leadership Congress, Americorps National Civilian Community Corps, SKC TREES Internships, and many more! The BIA Branch of Tribal Climate Resilience also synthesizes youth opportunities on their youth webpage and handout.
