USET’s Office of Environment Resource Management (OERM) kicked off 2026 with a successful Resilience Writing Retreat hosted by the Community Resilience Program and the Pamunkey Indian Tribe. Held January 13-15, the retreat brought participants from eight USET member Tribal Nations together for focused writing sessions alongside USET staff and contracted subject matter experts.  The agenda also included site visits and cultural demonstrations. Attendees made strong progress on project plans, grant proposals, climate vulnerability assessments, and other resilience initiatives. OERM’s Community Resilience Program staff are available year-round to support Tribal Nations’ environmental planning efforts.
