USET Community Resilience Virtual Roundtables
Third Wednesday of each month, 2-3 PM Central/3-4 PM Eastern, online. Join the USET Community Resilience Program for a series of virtual roundtable discussions on strategies that Tribal Nations are using to protect their citizens and lands from environmental challenges. Each roundtable will begin with a short presentation on a resilience project or initiative taking place in the USET region followed by questions and open discussion for attendees to learn from one another and build community across the region.

Managing Forests as Habitat in a Changing World: Panel Discussion Webinar Series
Third Tuesdays through 2025, online. This series of interactive panel discussions connect land managers, researchers, and practitioners spanning diverse geographies and ownerships to explore managing and stewarding forest habitat amid social and ecological changes.
This series provides examples of ecological silviculture and restoration techniques that enhance habitat along with the planning, policy, guidance, and partnerships needed to get these actions implemented. Panels will represent a diversity of biologists, foresters, and scientists to help participants discover management tools, respond to climate change, and build on collaborative conservation success (and failure!) stories.
Native American Fish and Wildlife Society (NAFWS) 2025 Professional Development Webinar Series
Thursdays, 12 PM CT, online. Students and professionals at all levels are invited to join NAFWS education coordinator, Ashley Mueller, every other 2nd Thursday to learn professional development skills, tricks, and tips. NAFWS NEPA Workshop
July 29-31, Akwesasne Mohawk Casino Resort, Hogansburg, NY. The Native American Fish & Wildlife Society is hosting a 3-day in-person National Environmental Police Act (NEPA) Workshop in Akwesasne. Led by Shipley Group trainers, this workshop provides a practical overview of the NEPA process. Participants should bring a laptop for interactive exercises. The workshop is limited to 20 attendees, and registration is limited to NAFWS members until June 12. Travel cost reimbursement is available for up to 10 registrants.
NAFWS Invasive Species Control Workshop
August 5-7, Golden Moon Casino and Resort, Philadelphia, MS. The Native American Fish & Wildlife Society is hosting a 3-day in-person training on invasive species control techniques and practical skills. Through both classroom learning and field work in the Mississippi Band of Choctaw Indians Pearl River Community, participants will learn the basics needed in management planning; the importance of protecting cultural resources from invasive species like Chinese privet and kudzu; control techniques from such species, along with safe equipment use and maintenance; feral pig management with trapping and basic marksmanship skills; and learn more on conservation considerations for the Mississippi Band of Choctaw Indians. Attendance is limited to 10 participants, and travel reimbursement may be available; registration is limited to NAFWS members until June 16. There is a room block and rate available through July 14.
2025 ITEP Tribal Lands and Environment Forum (TLEF)
August 18-21, Minneapolis, MN and Online. The Tribal Lands and Environment Forum (TLEF) is hosted annually by the Institute of Tribal Environmental Professionals, the Tribal Waste and Response Steering Committee, and US EPA’s Office of Land and Emergency Management. Request your spot on a field trip by July 25 and register by August 1.
2025 Southeast Climate Adaptation Science Center Symposium
September 9-11, Asheville, NC. Join the SE CASC to share, discuss, and learn about environmental change and adaptation strategies with other natural and cultural resource managers across the region.
