NICWA Annual Conference
March 29 – April 1 CDT
Dear NICWA Parters and Friends,
We are excited to invite you to join the National Indian Child Welfare Association (NICWA) at our 2026 Annual Conference, the premier gathering dedicated to the well-being of Native children and families. This year, we’ll come together in Oklahoma City on March 29–April 1, 2026.
Each year, this event brings together 1800+ Tribal leaders, child welfare professionals, and advocates who are united by a common purpose: to strengthen Native families, honor Tribal sovereignty, and uplift Native cultures and the many strengths of our Tribal communities. It is a space to share knowledge, learn from one another, build lasting relationships, and leave inspired to continue this vital work at home.
Why Attend?
- Expert-Led Sessions: Gain insights from experienced practitioners and seasoned leaders in Native child welfare and family support with over 80 workshops and three amazing general sessions.
- Networking Opportunities: Connect with peers, Tribal programs, and partner organizations committed to positive change.
- Explore: Learn about Oklahoma and its rich Tribal history.
Your participation helps advance policies and practices that protect Native children and preserve Tribal families. Our theme this year celebrates uniting our voices for our children, our culture, and our communities. Together, we can create a future rooted in resilience and cultural strength.
Reserve Your Spot Today! The early-bird registration deadline is January 31, 2026. NICWA is excited to welcome you in Oklahoma City, where we will share best practices and innovative approaches to ensuring the safety, dignity, and respect of every individual we have the honor and privilege of serving. We will learn from one another, sharing our experiences, stories, and cultural values, and return home to continue to do the hard work—what’s best for kids and communities today and for seven generations to come.
