The USET Behavioral Health Team is hosting two in-person training courses to equip USET member Tribal Nations to overcome suicide. The training will be in Nashville for clinicians, clinic staff, and emergency services staff including those that may encounter persons experiencing a mental health crisis.

ASIST is a two-day in-person workshop where you’ll learn to how to recognize when someone may be thinking about suicide, and how to provide a skilled intervention and develop a safety plan with the person to connect them to further support. To learn more, visit this website.

safeTALK T4T is a two-day program that will prepare you to facilitate LivingWorks safeTALK workshops in your community. These workshops empower community members and those who support them to make a difference by teaching them to be more alert to someone thinking of suicide and to be better able to connect them to help. Please note that the ASIST course is a prerequisite for the safeTALK T4T course. You must have completed an ASIST course (whether through USET or another organization) to enroll in the safeTALK T4T course.
