OCED announced the selection of seven H2Hubs across the country for award negotiations. The goal of the H2Hubs program is to help accelerate the production, processing, delivery, storage, and end-use of clean hydrogen – critical to DOE’s strategy for achieving President Biden’s goal of a 100 percent clean electrical grid by 2035 and net-zero carbon emissions by 2050. These H2Hubs represent a federal investment of $7 billion in hydrogen infrastructure and emphasize community and labor engagement; diversity, equity, inclusion, and accessibility; investing in the America Workforce; and the Biden Administration’s Justice40 Initiative. OCED is planning to hold three virtual briefings to provide more information on these selections and the path forward.
