This inaugural event will bring together Tribal road maintenance practitioners and staff from the Bureau of Indian Affairs Division of Transportation and BIA Regional Tribal Transportation Program. The event will provide essential support for Tribal transportation directors, supervisors, planners, office staff, equipment operators, project managers. and others.
Participants will
- Learn about the BIA Road Maintenance Program
- Hear updates on administrative and field operation components of federal road maintenance programs
- Gain an understanding of federal standards and requirements
- Discover resources available for Tribal governments
- Share experiences in improving road maintenance practices
- Build capacity for advancing tribal transportation infrastructure and safety
- Have the opportunity to participate in a heavy-equipment roadeo
Registration for the conference is $150. Scholarship assistance is available in case of financial need.
