Senate Committee on Indian Affairs (SCIA) Meeting and Oversight Hearing

On September 10, 2025, at 2:30 p.m. Eastern, SCIA will host a business meeting to consider Mr. William Kirkland’s nomination for Assistant Secretary for Indian Affairs at the U.S. Department of the Interior.
The meeting will be followed by an oversight hearing entitled “Unleashing Indian Energy—Examining Federal Programs at the U.S. Department of Energy.”
This hearing will be held both online and in person at Dirksen 628.
