The Social Security Administration (SSA) invites you to join the WEBINAR WEDNESDAY virtual training workshop that is focused on educational topics important to tribal communities. This information will assist tribal benefit coordinators, navigators, social workers, and partners who provide support to tribal members. Each training session will include a Q&A discussion with SSA experts.

We will continue our Webinar Wednesdays in May with workshops that will cover key topics related to becoming an Appointed Representative, Authorized Representatives, and the Representative Payee Role.

Topics:

  1. Appointed Representatives: Learn how an SSA-appointed representative can assist individuals with Social Security matters, including obtaining information, requesting appeals, and understanding the hearing process.
  2. Authorized Representatives: Learn and understand the responsibilities and the process for becoming an authorized representative and how this role differs from other representative roles within SSA.
  3. Representative Payee: Learn the key responsibilities of a representative payee and how SSA appoints them.  Discover the importance a representative payee plays in managing the benefits for someone else.

Why Attend?

  • Learn from SSA Experts: Direct access to Social Security Administration experts will provide you with detailed information on SSI regulations and changes.
  • Q&A Discussions: Have your questions answered in real time during the Q&A sessions.
  • Networking Opportunities: Connect with other Tribal benefit coordinators, social workers, and SSA representatives from both local and national levels.
  • Important for Tribal Communities: This session is tailored to focus on key topics related to becoming an Appointed Representative, an Authorized Representative, or a Representative Payee for Tribal members.
