Tribal Leader Call on President’s FY 2023 Budget Request

Dear Tribal Leader:
Please join me for a briefing on Friday, April 15, 2022, at 1:00 PM ET to discuss President Biden’s Fiscal Year 2023 budget request for the Department of the Interior’s (Department) Indian Affairs, which includes the Bureau of lndian Affairs (BIA), the Bureau of lndian Education (BIE), and the Bureau of Trust Funds Administration (BTF A).

The call will focus on the Administration’s budget plan to bolster the level of resources needed for Indian Affairs’ mission of service to Tribes and support its role in maintaining the Department’s nation-to-nation relationship and trust responsibilities. The President’s Budget supports an all-of government approach to addressing Federal responsibilities and Tribal needs in Indian Country and is committed to Tribal self-sufficiency, self-determination, and sovereignty.
