The USET Office of Tribal Public Health is hosting a Regional Special Diabetes Program for Indians (SDPI) and Dental Support Center training. The purpose of the regional training is to provide a collective approach to understanding the needs of both the diabetes and dental programs, provide educational resources/materials to support productivity and impact. The training will be tailored to Indian Health Service (IHS) Nashville Area SDPI programs and dental clinics, supporting efforts to strengthen sovereign Tribal public health systems and enhance capacity across the region.

When: September 29-30, 2026, 8:30 am – 4:30 pm Eastern each day

Where: Mohegan Sun, 1 Mohegan Sun Boulevard, Uncasville, CT 06382

Who should attend: Indian Health Service (IHS) Nashville Area diabetes and dental staff, Health Directors, Healthcare professionals. Only staff members directly related to IHS Nashville Area SDPI programs and dental programs are allowed to register for this event. Outside contractors will not be allowed to attend this event.

Learning objectives:

• Increase knowledge of resources available to IHS Nashville Area SPDI and dental program grantees.
• Learn diabetes and dental care best practices from subject matter experts working within the USET region.
• Understand how to effectively collect and analyze data within RPMS Diabetes Management System (DMS) and Dentrix.
• Learn how to implement program activities and initiatives.
