The VA ITU Reimbursement Agreement provides VA reimbursement to Indian Health Service (IHS), Tribal Health Programs (THP) and Urban Indian Organization (UIO) health facilities for services provided to eligible American Indian and Alaska Native Veterans. This presentation will deliver an overview of the ITU Reimbursement Agreement and provide information on how to participate in the agreement, verify Veteran eligibility and enrollment, bill VA for Direct Care, Purchased Referred Care and Contract Travel, check the status of claims submissions and more. Our goal is to provide knowledge and resources that will enable our ITU partners to better utilize the ITU Reimbursement Agreement and increase their revenue as they provide care to eligible American Indian/Alaska Native Veterans. VA encourages interested Tribes and Urban Indian Organizations to partner with VA through the agreements.
