Dear Tribal Leader Letter

On Tuesday, November 7, multiple federal agencies will hold a virtual (and in-person) government-to-government consultation on strengthening the Indian Child Welfare Act (ICWA). The consultation session will seek input on additional support for tribal leaders, federal government assistance to state courts and child welfare agencies, improving understanding and capacity in ICWA requirements, and effective state-tribe collaborative partnerships for ICWA implementation.
