FBI CAST (Cellular Analysis Survey Team) Overview Presentation

This webinar presentation will provide an overview of the FBI CAST (Cellular Analysis Survey Team) program. An FBI Special Agent will cover how cellular phones interact with cell towers and all three major cellular phone service providers. The presenter will also address the process for requesting CAST assistance in an emergency case concerning a missing person or fugitive as well as assistance with obtaining and mapping phone records for a case. Several case examples and scenarios will be presented to illustrate investigation techniques and how to incorporate cell phone records in investigations.
This training is restricted to federal, state, and Tribal prosecutors, law enforcement and intelligence analysts employed by a law enforcement agency. There is no charge to attend this webinar. CLE will not be provided.
This training is a joint effort hosted by federal law enforcement agencies responding to violent crime in Indian Country. Sponsoring agencies include the U.S. Department of Justice’s National Indian Country Training Initiative, the United States Indian Police Academy, the Federal Bureau of Investigation, the Drug Enforcement Administration, the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, and the Department of the Interior’s Office of Law Enforcement and Security’s Victim Assistance Program.
