Native Psychological Brilliance refers to the innate intelligence, strengths, balance, resources, and resilience of Native people.
When: The fourth Tuesday of every month at 1:00 pm – 2:00 pm Central/2:00 pm – 3:00 pm Eastern
Who should attend: Tribal Nation health directors, clinic staff, counselors, social workers, physicians, nurses, Tribal Epidemiology Center staff, and anyone supporting Tribal Nation citizens through the health/behavioral health sector are welcome to join.
Learning objectives
- Increase knowledge of innate intelligence of Native people and relationship to treatment and lifelong recovery
- Deepen understanding of cultural practices as teaching tools for healthy behavior and how traditional practices influence behavior change
- Gain knowledge of two examples of traditional behavioral health programs
- Learn example of how to translate a traditional practice into a potential billable clinical service
CME/CE Program accreditation for physicians, physician assistants, and nurse practitioners, nurses, counselors and social workers
