Office of Environmental Resource Management (OERM)

Introduction

First established in 2004 as the Environmental Liaison Office to fulfill the founding member Tribal Nations’ goal to provide protection of Tribal natural resources. In 2012 the office was transformed into the Office of Environmental Resource Management (OERM). OERM focuses on assisting USET member Tribal Nations with a wide range of environmental concerns, such as supporting protection of human health and ecosystems, risk assessments, community resilience program, providing clean and safe drinking water, cultural resource protection, traditional and conventional agriculture, and sustainable development.
